The 4th annual San Juan Island rendezvous will kick off this weekend in Anacortes, Wa. Boats will be arriving Friday and Saturday to get launched and take care of all the last minute preparations. We'll have 4 M17's (ranging from a 1976 to a 2005 model, including a rare full keel version coming clear up from Texas), 3 classic M23's from Washington, Oregon, and Arizona, 1 or 2 M15's, and a former M23 owner in his Nonsuch 26 joining in. The opening weekend will be like a car show, with skippers checking out each others boats, polishing the "chrome", and just lots of messing about in boats. Great time to drop in for a visit. We'd love to see you. If you want to come see us off, talk to the skippers, or just check out the Monty's, come on down to the Cap Sante Boat Haven at the Port of Anacortes anytime from Friday evening through Sunday morning. We shouldn't be hard to find, or just ask for the Monty group at the Port office. Sunday morning we'll sail into the islands. We might come back a week later. (Ha!) If you ever get a chance to sail the San Juans, you'll know what I mean. Larry Yake
