Welcome to the group, Gary. I have M-17 #666, and sail at Lake Perry, Kansas, about 175 miles to your west. You can search on YouTube and find a video of Osprey II. I was a previous owner of AudaSea, and Howard is a great resource for you. Enjoy the cameradie and helpfulness of this forum, you have a couple of months for working on the boat before our prime sailing weather returns. Sailing at the Lake of the Ozarks will be interesting, the twists and turns will make wind direction an important element. You might venture further afield, Lake Stockton is a superb sailing lake, and you would be welcome to our yacht club at Perry for a different perspective. I recently purchased a 1976 Montgomery 17. I bought it in St. Paul, MN and towed it to my house in Columbia, MO. It is my first sailboat. I recently completed the first ASA course - Basic Keel Boat Sailing 101. So - I'm new at all of this. I will be sailing the boat primarily at The Lake of the Ozarks in MO, but plan on towing it other places too. The boat needs a fair amount of work. I have a boat load of questions. I hope I can have her ready for next season.
