Hi Gilbert Glad to help. You might have to move one of them back and forth on a flat piece of sandpaper to get a proper fit. Its too late for rope. Those sheaves will only work with wire. Have Jerry Montgomery make you a new set. Both main and jib should be the same size wire. Jerrymontgomery.org His pricing is very low. Do it right. For the sheaves and spacer send $15 to: Montgomery boats 1413 W. brooks st #5 Ontario, Ca. 91762 Make the check out to Montgomery boats. Take care Bob (949) 489-8227 gilbert landin wrote:
bob I recieved the sheaves, I have not hade a chance to install, or measure, but thanks for the promptness, I was wondering... I have wondered at the fact that my jib halyard wire is a little thicker diameter than the main halyard is this normal or did the PO get them swapped? I did notice some meat hooks on the present main halyard and have read about some people going to all rope. What size rope is recommended and are there any advantages?
thank you Gilbert
BTW send me your mailing address so I can send you a check (what a trusting fellow)
