Mr. Bob,
From a builder's perspective, any good reason not to seal off the aft cockpit locker? Any recommendations on how to accomplish this, or things not to do?

Could be plywood, epoxy and lots of kneeling, or crawling aft down the q-berths. Wanna race? :) On Wed, Feb 10, 2010 at 11:03 AM, Joe Murphy <seagray@embarqmail.com> wrote:
I have a 2008 M17 and it has the openings that you refer to. I too would like to see if anyone has any simple remedy for this. Joe M17 Seafrog #651

Our aft cockpit locker, which holds the gas tank has small openings on
either side wall, at the very top, aft corner. Where the side panels were not fitted up into the coaming. We get a gasoline smell in the cabin from this A project this spring is to close these openings.
Does anybody else have this?
Maybe someone can do a poll on this at Lake Havasu. Check out the newer and the older boats in attendance to see if the aft locker is closed up on either side. You really have to get right down and look up into the locker. Sure wish I was there. Hope it all goes well and everyone has a good time.
Thanks
