Hello Jerry, My, you certainly know how to stimulate us M-Boaters with all this talk of a new trailerable. All the comments I have been reading are pointing toward a design of a great new sailing vessel and another feather in your "M" cap. OK, I will admit I am a traditionalist when it comes to boats. I happen to really like the trunk style Hess coachroof. It supports my back while I'm anchored and sitting on the foredeck have a coldie. I also am a fan of interior headroom, the more, the better. We need ventilation, whether it be a forehatch or opening ports. I installed two SS opening Bormar ports in my M23 and I love them. I used a LOT of polysulfide and they do not leak. I also vote for stability. Lyle always wanted his boats to bring the captain and crew home safe. Lapstrake all the way, it's the M-boat characteristic. After scrubbing and oiling my teak for hours last weekend, HDPE does sound like a good idea, as long as it looks somewhat like wood, not cheap or cheesy. Don't forget great scuppers and a wet locker. Rock on Jerry. Bones ____________________________________________________________ The strong, silent type.
