I used Franmar Soystrip to remove the layers of old bottom paint. I soon discovered some pretty serious damage to the front and sides of the keel, and what looks to be a holed-through spot in the starboard bilge. I personally didn't feel qualified to make these repairs so at Jerry's recommendation, I took my lovely girl to Joe of Joe's Yacht Restoration in West Sacramento, CA. He and his crew are doing a great job! They'll also work to reconfigure the ezloader trailer to a bunk format rather than the rollers. David Carson of Carson Signs, also in West Sac, will produce vinyl CF number and name signage. I'm really excited to sail the smooth version of my little jewel, "Nenya." Here is a public link to the facebook album covering the progress of the restoration: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=267955&id=567421148&l=6786bf99a0 Karsten
