Hello group, I am getting a bit confused about required lighting for Mongomery 15s and 17s in coastal waters. Unless rules have changed, my "stock" bow mounted bicolor and stern-mounted white should suffice for night sailing, and these lights plus the top (cylindrical) half of the dual light about a meter above the spreaders (the "steaming" light) should suffice for steaming. I find the USCGboating.org suggestion for anchor lights on boats less than 7 meters ambiguous as written; it could mean these boats are exempted from flying a daytime black ball in most locations, or it could mean they are exempted both day and night. Does anyone know what the precise CG anchor light requirements are, or where they can be found (preferably on the internet)? Thanks much, Tom Jenkins 2004 M17 Scintilla
