Welcome to the 21st Century. Sometimes I feel like I am in a futuristic, dark movie. We just get the local sherif's night time patrols with the biggest search light I have ever seen. You should take photos these choppers when they get real close but not until you have called your next of kin and filed a flight plan. You have had an interesting past and lucky enough to have been introduced to the fun of flying in an affordable way. My flying was restricted to local flights here in the local airspace. I got 14 hours accumulated then got shipped out the Wiesbaden, Germ. With the AirForce as Graphic Artist. Nice tour, saw lots of art and architecture. Great experience. Good food, best wines, right on the Rhein River in little town down the road from Wiesbanden call Schierstein. Intel outfit, 497th RTG. Let me some photos when you get a chance. My father was a crop duster and later a B24 captain and bomber check ride instructor. He used to take me flying in a Cub and it got into my blood. Ultralight and then experimental. When flying in Florida I feel like an F16 always has me in their gun sites. When boating locally in my pontoon boat there's a military copter with big guns always in site...they fly up and hover close enough to check you out and then fly away. I've seen them hovering low enough to splash the water with their propwash.
