M_Boats: Mixed ballast types?

Greetings wrinkle boaters! Out of curiosity of my ballast type, I took a magnet to the hull of my M-15 (#411). The magnet did not stick to the keel, but it did stick to the hull from just forward of the keel to almost all the way to the bow. My boat has the hump in the floor in the forward locker.
