The internal outhaul is way worse than running the stupid halyards down the mast! jerry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Chappell" <hnchappe@yahoo.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2011 3:46 PM Subject: M_Boats: rigging internal halyards Thanks Jerry!! Really impressive to get a speedy reply from the builder -- one of the reasons this is such a great list! I was planning to drill my masthead holes well placed for fair leads, and polish them all. But if I follow your meaning, you don't use exit plates at the mast base but rather a smoothed hole with a little bend -- right? Good idea, and really economical. As for sorting the lines out, I will have good access: I can look down the open mast since I took off the masthead and base fittings to blast out all the spiders, mud daubers, etc. that took up residence there since 1975. Now for the internal outhaul...
