Good point My outboard auxiliary has a tether that stops it if overboard. Since my use of the tiller pilot is for powering in doldrum conditions I will just use this tether and the vessel should stop if I find myself adrift.? Thanks skipper for the heads up. BTW I f any of you skippers have suggestions on the installation of a autohelm 1000 on M-15 please share. Like the measurement along the tiller from the pin to the rudder pivot??? Or the location of the electrical plug??? -----Original Message----- From: John Schinnerer via montgomery_boats <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Saturday, October 30, 2021 6:43 PM To: montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com Cc: John Schinnerer <john@eco-living.net> Subject: M_Boats: Re: M17s are regatta boats On 10/30/21 1:23 PM, Gary H.Oberbeck wrote: ...
Be careful sailing alone with a tiller pilot! It won’t come back for you!
I'm sure someone is working on an app for that... ;-) cheers, John -- John Schinnerer - M.A., Whole Systems Design -------------------------------------------- - Eco-Living - Whole Systems Design Services People - Place - Learning - Integration john@eco-living.net - 510.982.1334 http://eco-living.net http://sociocracyconsulting.com
