PS - to be more specific - look for portable crane operators (crane trucks) for hire in your vicinity. They will likely have slings & other rigging needed, so you wouldn't have to do that yourself. If you are just going to replace the CB pennant, an hour of their time might do, a couple hours at most. Or they can lift it so you can put it on blocks & stands for a while if doing other under-the-boat stuff. cheers, John On 11/19/22 14:04, John Schinnerer via montgomery_boats wrote:
If you rig up a lifting harness like Tyler's, or slings under boat, etc. - as someone said, you just need to find a friendly equipment operator with a backhoe, excavator, forklift, mobile crane, etc. that can lift the boat weight safely off your trailer and high enough off ground to drop your board.

Hi folks: Still looking for a boat yard to replace my centerboard line on my M15. I don’t have anyway of hoisting boat. I can travel from Boise to Seattle, Portland or Sacramento. Any ideas. Been looking for about four months. Any suggestions helpful. No way of doing it myself. Thanks, Pete WinterSky (Zimowsky)
