As we also have 2 hp for one of our toys My small motor expert gave me a tip (he works on Mowers, chain saws and all manner of thing) Just put a few drops of Auto Transmission oil in the gas tank before putting the motor or small motor tool away for the winter. ga ----- Original Message ----- From: <chbenneck@juno.com> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 2004 11:33 AM Subject: Re: M_Boats: More about the 4-stroke
Harvey,
On second thought, I shut off the fuel valve on my HONDA mower at the end of the mowing season, and just let the engine run until it runs the carburetor dry. It's always surprising to see just how long it will run on what's in the carburetor bowl
If no air can get in the fuel tank to allow fuel to flow to the carburetor bowl, the same thing happens. The engine will run on the fuel available in the carburetor, but then die..............
Your Seagulls are starting and running on the fuel in the carburetor fuel bowl. When that is used up, they quit.
