Rich, I do highly recommend this as the 3 gal of water I keep way up in the bow seems to help light air downwind performance as well. It also eliminated the water that used to accumulate from splashing up the CB pennant. The trim of the boat is more along the design lines as it offsets the motor, gas and people in the cockpit. Soon after reading his post I placed 50 pounds of lead down low in the forward compartment. It's significantly improved jib performance going to weather in heavier winds. The bow doesn't fall off as much in a gust. There's more of a "keel boat" feel to sailing than before.
