One of those boring places with coral reefs, turquoise waters, and rainforests.? We found an older Compac 16 that needed work, fixed it up over the winter and then sailed it the next summer. Even with new sails we just were not thrilled with its performance so we sold it. This past fall we bought a Monty 17 and the difference is like night and day when comparing it to the Compac. I had one of the older Compacs that did not have a center board or bowsprit, both of which I think would have made a difference in performance. Hi,
I have been sailing a Com-Pac 16 for 5 years, and have become disappointed with its performance (especially upwind). The Montgomery 15 or 17 seems like it may be a better choice.
Before I decide to purchase one, I would like to know if there is anyone in the New England/New York area that has one that I could take a look at.
Thanks
