Gerald,
I live in Coeur d'Alene and cast my vote also for sailing Lake Pend Oreille as the preferred option. There are two marinas on the south end of Pend Oreille which offer visitor moorage. You can launch and park your rig at Farragut State Park ($10/night) and there are two nice public overnight dock/anchor options (free) within an easy days sail.

Hello,
I would like to bring my M23 to lake Coeur D'Alene in early August. She is too big to put back on the trailer each day so I would like to find temporary mooring for about 9 days. Does anyone know a good place for this?
It looks like Silver Beach Marina is the best choice. I would have to launch near the Hagadone marine group and sail to Silver Beach. I noticed there is a sailing marina run by the Panhandle Yacht Club. Is anyone a member that would be willing to offer information?
Is there a good place to anchor?
Any general information about sailing and launching on the lake would be helpful.
Thanks for the help!
