Hi all, A new boat has come into my life (actually two boats) and I need to clear the docks. Up for sale is a 1976 M17. It is is good shape and is ready to sail. I was sailing it this summer. The boat is located in Austin, Texas. Here's the good and bad about the boat: Good: Sails are in good shape. It has the original main and jib. It also has a 155% (?) Genoa that I have raised but it looks good. The standing rigging is good. The running rigging is good except for the mainsheet which should be replaced soon. The Johnsom Sailmaster 6 hp outboard runs good and has an alternator. The boat includes anchor, rode, assorted lines, life jackets, etc. Includes boat trailer with new tires. Bad: The deck needs painting. The boat needs a bottom job if it will stay in the water or would be a good idea (no blistering on the hull). The teak needs attention. The hatch boards need work or replacing. There is a marine battery that I haven't checked yet. The tricolor on the mast needs new glass and may need some wiring work. I want to get $4000 for the boat. I plan on working on the boat this fall and winter at the same time I'm working on another boat. As I get work completed, the price will go up. This is your chance to get a good M17 for a good price. Allan
