M_Boats: Montgomery 17 in the north east

I and my wife have retired to the beautiful state of Maine. We are looking to purchase a small seaworthy sailboat to cruse and daysail the coast. Hearing and reading about the Mont 17 have almost made the decision on the choice of boats for us. The mont 17 seems to be juat what we are looking for. I was wondering if some Montgomery 17 owner up in the northeast would take the time to just share a peek at a boat eye to eye. This is a big expenditure for us on a fixed income, so we want to make sure this boat is the right choice.
