Hi Rick, You may find - and this is dependent on your weight - that you need more skeg area to keep going in a straight line. With my oarlock fittings located as I told you, I could use some weight in the stern to keep the skeg in the water. However, if you built your NYMPH, modifying the skeg shouldn't be a big deal! ........every boat is nothing but a series of improvements! Connie
