Yesterday I installed a "Hatch Adjuster" on the forward hatch. I had previously changed the hinge attachment points aft towards the mast so the hatch now acts like a very nifty air duct into the v-berth when it is opened only about 45 degrees. Probably just as important, I don't have to worry about the hatch closing on my "noggin" while I work inside the berth area. The adjuster became an instant success without even getting the hull wet. I have no stock, or etc. with the "SeaDog Line" of boat doodads. Here is their part number if you decide to install one of their stainless/nylon hatch adjusters. #321291-1. I had to place a plastic wedge behind the lower attachment point to shim it vertical due to the slight cant molded into the Monty hatch trim. Everything else lined up just right. The slide lock can be rotated 360 degrees by loosening two set screws so the knob can be placed in a comfortable position to lock the slide open or closed.
