Daniel: Hope you have a great time with your new M! I have 35 years experience dragging trailers long distances, dunking them in both fresh and salt water. If you have the right wheel bearing seals, use Bearing Buddies, and give them 2 strokes of the grease gun every time you take the trailer to the water, you will not need to re-pack annually. My last trailer required frequent seal replacement, and re-packing of the bearings until I realized that the seals were too big in ID, with grease leaking out the annular space between the rubber and the axle. It made a nasty mess on the inside of the wheel and tire. Once I got the right dimension seal I didn't re-pack again for 6 years. I took a hub off once for inspection and everything looked new. That's why I say be sure you've got seals that seal. Pack the bearing cavity FULL. Then grease regularly, but don't over-grease. You can look up seals on the Chicago Rawhide website, by OD and axle diameter. That's how I finally figured out whether or not my seals were correct. You bet. I'll try there.
Thanks!

Daniel,
Don't have the number at hand, but the Pacific Trailer website has all the info you need on seals, bearings etc for each model. Just takes a few minutes of your time. I found it pretty easy last spring.

Gonna repack the bearings on my new trailer. I do it every year. Now, as you know, I just picked up this 2003 Pacific trailer with the boat. It is the same trailer as currently used with the new M15's. So, before I pull the hubs, does anybody know which seals are used for this trailer? I know once I pull the hub I can just read it off the seal for future purposes, but I'd rather have the seals ready the first time!
