Re: Stern Pulpit I'm a big fan of the stern pulpit on our M17. It is great to hold on to when the wife is steering (just kidding...) Actually it is great to hold on to when fueling the outboard and climbing out & in from the stern ladder. It is also a great place to hang a stern anchor. We didn't have one on our M15, and I can't say as I ever gave it much thought. But now that we have one on our M17 it rates very high on my list. Unless you have open-to-the-hull cockpit lockers it might be difficult to retrofit one to an existing Monty. I'm guessing that from the factory they are installed before the deck and hull are joined. I did add the jib downhaul after having a problem holding the jib down in strong winds. There are many times I wish I had had Bob install the stern pulpit. Its also a great place to mount your antennas, flag pole, etc but I had concerns with it getting in the way of fueling the Honda and going over the stern ladder.
