In early 1976, I drove from Tucson to Lake Havasu to go to a race. Jerry was there with his Tucson cronie Tom Van Atta and Jerry's new flush deck 17, the Coyote. After a few drinks at the Friday night party, I challenged Jerry to a first-to-finish gentleman's race for a case of beer. Little did I know that just because our boats were the same size, I didn't have a chance. I later paid off by jacking up Van Atta's van and putting a 6-pack under each wheel. About twenty years later, I was the proud owner of Coyote and had a great time with the boat. Coyote now lives in Mindenoya, Ontario, Canada. I had a holiday card from the current owners giving me a status report on how the boat likes the snow... pss: to get to the Havasu beer, Jerry and Tom just drove off the beer stacks and drank the survivors.

Matt,
My story is very similar to yours. I was at the Annapolis boat show looking at another small sail boat when I ran into Walt Wood. After that conversation I began investigating the M15. Bob was very helpful and later that year I found a used M15 in KY and the rest is history!

Hey, Debora, yours is the closest number to mine (#633 Lynne L) I've seen. #633 was built for Walt Wood of Sailchesbay in 2005 - I bought it in 2007, and have been one happy sailor ever since. Yours must have come down the ways in early 2006?
