Hi John - Chapter 2 I went poking around in the Montgomery Archives and found a lot of answers to your questions. Go to" Montgomery Archives;" - Go to "How To & Specs" - Look on the bottom right hand side of the list to find "Scott Grometer - Provisioning, & Provisioning Update" Two very detailed answers to your questions. He was cruising the Northwest Passage area and gives you all sorts of information about living on board. Connie
Hi John,
Somewhere in the bowels of the Montgomery Archives is report from an M-15 owner about a three week trip up the Inside Passage towards Alaska.
He recounted in great detail: the food supplies that they carried (he and his wife); cooking equipment that they used and comments about its suitability and improvements "next time". He discussed all the questions that you raised.
From my recollection, it was quite a long and very detailed report on living aboard an M-15 for three (or possibly more) weeks without resupply possibilities. I recall him talking about having to find springs to replenish their water supply in some of the small coves and harbors they visited.
Fish provided fresh meat on a daily basis.
If you can't find the report in the Archives, then possibly someone in the Montgomery group saved it, and could send you a copy.
Connie
How many days were you out and about, self-support?
Can you give us an outline of how you set yourselves up for that length , of time for two people on a quite small boat? Food, water, toilet, etc.?
thanks, John S.

Hi David,
What a great video.
You sure know how to make a boat-less old geezer jealous.

I finally finished a video of a trip we took to the Sea of Cortez with our Montgomery 15 and posted it on YouTube: Sailing Bahia de los Angeles on Sea of Cortez

Jerry Montgomery first brought the idea to my attention about a year ago on this group. It was a great trip! We're taking the boat to the Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories of Canada in July...
