RE: M_Boats: More on towing vehicles... 4X4 or Not?

So far no problem with my GMC Sierra 4.3L 2WD manual tranny although one very steep ramp in Lion's Head, Ontario made me wonder for a moment (and the tires spin a bit). Haven't tried w/ my '92 Chevy S10 2.6L 2WD manual tranny but it is only rated for towing 2000# and had somewhere around 200,000 miles when I got my 17.
