Welcome to the group Rick. You might check with the "Trailer Sailor.com" website. Their chandlery includes a canvas shop. They have certain products listed for certain brands of boats. Although the Montys are not listed, you may get a decent quote from them for covers. I puchased a hatchboard bag from them for my M15 and it appears to be a well made product. Although I've been an M-17 owner since July, I've only just now found this mailing list and thought I'd introduce myself. After a 20-odd year hiatus from sailing (I sailed a Rainbow on Chesapeake Bay in the 60's and raced a 505 out of West River in the early 70's), I found in semi-retirement time to get back on the water again. I was lucky enough to find M-633 for sale by Walt Wood not ten miles from my house, and bought it at first sight. I've had a great time the rest of the summer and fall sailing on the Potomac River, and can't say enough good about the boat, which was just what I was looking for. Perfect for single-handing without worrying about hiking straps or capsizes, sails beautifully, and is easy to sail from the trailer. Pushed the season until the day before Thanksgiving, but it looks as if it's all over now until spring. Can't wait.
By the way, does anyone know of a vendor of covers for the M-17? I'm getting a custom quote from Sailor's Tailor, but would appreciate any other leads.
