On a similar note, How do you feel about being in an M17 .vs. M15 in bigger waves? Then, its time to get a bigger one, a smaller one, a faster one, one faster to set up, one easier to launch, one easier to single hand.... I'm down to a Monty 12 for a daysailer, and can use anytime our son's Bristol 26. Now that's the way to do it-- let someone else pay for the boat, the mooring, etc., and you get to sail it! Hi: I’ve been debating getting a bigger boat but I love my M15 for ease of stepping the mast, launching and sailing solo. The only thing I would like is a larger living space for cruising the San Juan Islands. So we’re talking about sailing solo in the M15 about 30 days at my home reservoir and then 7 days in the San Juans. Is it worth going to a larger boat for those seven days? And, is an M17 easy to handle solo? Thanks for the input. There’s always a debate among sailors about going to a larger boat. Good winds,
