phil: spam filters can be a pain ... don't know how to use the email programs/sites you quote. i did at one time use eudora, which was very nice as i could really control things and easily edit persons or ISPs that were blocked. yahoo's is OK .. but does have moments where i don't know 'what it is thinking'. for example. i just responded to a mboat listproc posting about hull numbers. yahoo blocked this email when the listproc 'sent' the email to my account. why? i don't know as i can't look at the filter details. add to this ... my first response to you wasn't filtered. i've told yahoo i am 'not spam' ... will see if i can now get email from myself. dave scobie M15 #288 - SCRED visit Scred's www-site: http://www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred --- On Sat, 12/20/08, Phil & Frances <srelt@iclub.org> wrote: Dave, Thanks. I opened your mailist-archive and the 12th of Dec. is the last posting. In fact, that is the place where I have always read the comments. Therefore, something is blocking my pc from the list since the beginning of my membership. I am also including here a reply I made to Keith. Maybe it will allow you to help me figure out what is blocking that one forum. Other forums I am on come in fine. I had thought all this time that the problem was with the forum instead of my pc. I could uninstall the spyware, malware, etc. and see what happens. I use Firefox Google Chrome for a browser and Thunderbird for email on a Vista Home Premium OS. Phil Thanks Keith. I have gone over my firewall, anti-virus, spyware, malware, etc. So far no results. I use Google Chrome for my web browser and I cannot find the usual block spam filter. I am sure it is in there somewhere, but it must be really hidden. I had thought maybe it was my firewall since I had to reinstall it, but I told it to accept everything, every cookie, etc. on the program lists it shows. Still no results. Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder what would happen if I created a new account with Montgomery Boats. Think that would help?
