I assume a little more hp would give better performance in adverse conditions.  I chose the 5 hp because I wanted to be able to use more gas at one time than the 1/3 gallon internal tank of the 4.  As for the Honda, I just couldn't justify the extra cost.  My family car is a Chevy not a Cadillac, and that has worked out fine.  Time will tell with the Nissan.
