Gotta love the internet. RIGHT NOW, this very minute, I'm wrestling with the Chimpanzee the M-15's centerboard pivot. (The boat is dangling from the forks of a forklift about 10 yards from this computer.) My pivot pin was held in place with a blob of 3M 5200 mounded on the outside of the keel. Kludgy and not very good for speed. I was scheming to make up little keeper plates or something that would be screwed into the keel, not much better than the blob of 3M 5200. In this thread, however I read about a pivot pin that is shorter than the thickness of the keel, with a plug of epoxy on either side. That's perfect. That's how I'm going to do it. Back to the boat.
