Hi all, To clarify what's been said in bits and pieces already and hopefully help those of you wanting off the list: The list is 95% or more self-service. There is a list admin somewhere but we/I have no idea if/when he is monitoring anything to do with people wanting to be removed. In other words - nobody's at the helm of this list most of the time, the autopilot is holding course, and you have to just tell the autopilot you want off! So please go with the self-service options and remove yourselves, or you may be waiting a long time to be removed. David Grah already posted this simple method - you will need to send one email to this email address: montgomery_boats-leave@mailman.xmission.com You don't need to write anything in the mail. That address is programmed to remove you from the list if you send any mail to it, even an empty one. If it shows as a link in your mail program, just click on it, a new message should open with the address filled in, all you have to do is click 'send'. Another way to do this is to send an email to montgomery_boats-request@mailman.xmission.com AND put unsubscribe as the only word in the subject line of the mail. No need to write anything in the body of the mail. Likewise, if you see the below as a link in your mail program, click on it, a new message will open up with the correct address and subject line already filled in. All you have to do is click 'send': montgomery_boats-request@mailman.xmission.com?subject=unsubscribe cheers, John -- John Schinnerer - M.A., Whole Systems Design -------------------------------------------- - Eco-Living - Whole Systems Design Services People - Place - Learning - Integration john@eco-living.net - 510.982.1334 http://eco-living.net http://sociocracyconsulting.com
