M_Boats: Fairleads for Roller Furler on M-15

Folks who've mounted a roller furler on their M-15: Did you use fairleads for the furling/reefing line? If no, how's the operation without such? If yes, what type of fairlead did you use and where did you mount them? What sort of cleat did you use for the reefing/furling line, and where did you mount it? I'll be rigging my CDI FF1 this weekend or next, and would prefer to learn from the experience of others, instead of certainly replicating others' (or even inventing new) mistakes!
