Hi all, I have been reader of this site for many years and it's one of the best for information for trailerable sailboats. We have been planning our first trip to the San Juans for this summer. I have started out using the NOAA site for their free online chart viewer, tides, and current charts. http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/mcd/OnLineViewer.html and http://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/currents11/tab2pc2.html#121. Then I found that Novonics sells a chart viewer and the North American charts for about $25 (takes forever to download). This has been a great help because not only can you look at the charts but by clicking on the symbols for the tides and currents it will pop up the information right there for that current or tide station. And then you can change the date to get to any day in the future. This is really good for the currents since it shows you which way its going and how fast. The application will also let you do route planning on the chart. A great tool for planning. Bi-annual is what I think you meant. I am sure everybody wishes it were every six months...

So when is the next San Juan trip? Annual? Bi-annual? Jeff
Probably semi-annual. Larry
