I'd like to know whether what I've heard is true, but don't know where to go to confirm such facts. Old-timers tell me the high-levels we enjoyed five years ago were the anomaly (???). --Craig ----- Original Message ----- From: <stevemc35@attbi.com> To: "MBoat List" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, April 08, 2002 10:35 AM Subject: M_Boats: Great Lakes water levels Well I just went down and looked at the Evanston, IL boat launch ramp over the weekend - the only one nearby my house and the one for which I've ALREADY forked over $300+ for my season pass. How demorilizing: the water levels seem even lower this year than last. They are all prepared to dredge it out and have the heavy equipment there and all, but right at the moment it doesn't look good for getting on the water any time soon. Certainly not in April, I'm guessing. Will the Great Lakes water levels keep dropping forever? They are already close to two feet below average and a foot below chart datum. Anybody else on the Great Lakes having a problem with this? -- Steve McClellan 1981 M15 #152 stevemc35@attbi.com
