Hi all, I'm thinking about getting a 135% genoa for a CDI furler on an M-17, and having no experience with furlers would like some advice. Particularly, various people recommend a luff pad, either foam or rope, to improve sail shape when partially reefed. Others don't like the pad since it increases the windage at the forestay and disturbs the airflow over the sail. Some just don't think it's necessary. Does anyone have experience with a luff pad, and if so, was it good, bad, or so-so? How about in ~20 kts when it's really reefed down? Appreciate any input, Thanks, Rick M-17 #633 "Lynne L" ************** Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music.
