Fran, Blame it on the season and the weather. Even here on the Texas Gulf coast, we have had unseasonably cold reather. We usually only have a couple of overnight freezes a year but have already had several. We even had 3 inches of snow this week when it is rare to have even an inch. Must be global warming. It is little cold and blustery for sailing and it is even too cold to be putting barrier coat and bottom paint on Griselda. Perfect weather for studying charts and planning future sailing activity. With all the posts about various group cruises, there is plenty to think about. I have been studying charts of the South Texas bays and the ICW in preperation for the "Texas 200" in June. The event is a 200 mile, 5 day, broad reach and run "sleigh ride" through some of the most uninhabited coastline in the USA. Each evening the participants get together and have a good time. I really hope things work out to go. Here is a holiday toast to all of you who are sitting inside thinking about next season. Ron M17 #14, (fin Keel) Griselda.
