There were a few posts a while ago about mast gates, so--while getting my '83 M-17 "Sapphire" ready for winter hibernation--I took a few photos of the mast gate I made a couple of years ago. It was easy to make and has worked great, eliminating the need for the screw-type sail stop and preventing sail slugs from jumping out of the sail track opening (made for a boltrope, I think) while reefing.
