Hi Cal, Welcome to the Montgomery world. It's a great little craft, with a huge attitude, and the people who sail them are pretty alright too, judging by what I have seen and met so far. I had the pleasure of spending a Sunday afternoon last week with my new father-in-law down on the docks in Portland Oregon. He has been a lifetime boater, both power and sail and at 81 and with out a boat is having separation anxiety. While we were going through the "For Sail" boat from one of the brokerages, I got to see my first Montgomery 23 and in the same breath just on down the dock a ways was a Flicka 20. They are both very seaworthy looking craft. I happen to like the lapstrake hull of the Monty's and I liked the brass and shape of the Flicka's cabin. IMHO, don't see how you could go wrong with either, but living where I do, and liking to travel the way I do, I'd much rather be attached to my M-15 going down the road to another new sailing adventure.
