Rick The hole pattern is the same so just clean out the old holes and rebed the new track with fresh caulking compound. (just like rebedding hardware; should be done every 6 years for boats that are outside) Don't enlarge those holes; if the holes are dry and clean up with acetone it's no use cutting into good core material. Dry fit the new track first ; have all the hardware at the ready. Be generous with the caulking compound (NOT 5200) Bed under the flush bolt heads as well. You can use the old flush bolts with new lock nuts. The old stainless washers under the cockpit floor should clean up and can be re-used. Let the caulking sit for a day then remove the excess with Acetone and a sharp piece of paint stick. Have fun! Bob www.montgomeryboats.com

Morning all,
I'm looking for advice on how to handle thru-holes when replacing the traveler track on the cockpit sole of a 2005 M17. The new track holes should line up with the existing 4" centered holes, so I plan to re-use those holes. Can I just remove and replace, or should I fill the holes with epoxy and re-drill? If they should be filled, should I drill them out a little oversize, or fill them as is? Of these three possibilities I would obviously prefer the first, but I don't want to store up future problems.
Thanks in advance for suggestions,
