jeff: clears the shrouds by a few inches. i never had rubbing issues on my M15 (excluding the sail rubbing on the bow pulpit ... like all boats get). final fit is dependent on the sailmaker though.
Forgive me here, I'm a true newb to this boat and rigging.
keep askin! i learn new things all the time from this and other jerry-boat lists and forums. :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage Marine - www.sagemarine.com --- On Wed, 4/4/12, Jeffrey Johnston <frjeff@gmail.com> wrote:
So, it looks to me that if the J on the Monty 15 is 4.58 (4'7"), the 128% genoa would have a foot length about 4.87 (5'10"). That adds 15" to the foot as compared to a 100% jib.
Question then, with just the cabin top fairlead and cam cleat sheet rigging, does the 128 genoa clear the shrouds without beating them to death?
Forgive me here, I'm a true newb to this boat and rigging. Thank you.
