Brightness is often a problem on sail. The lights are really meant to operate at 14ish volts which you only get with the motor running / charging. A good 12v LED will overcome this using the built in viltage regulation.

Any suggestions on running light for M15.. I believe I need red/green , white stern, white mast head ( for running under power) Cant decide which is better Individual battery or 12v system fo all the lights?
