Jerry - That trip sounds like a blast! It's been about 25 years or so since I've been down there. I went a couple of times with my uncle and drove down to Cabo stopping along the way. Never sailing, but we towed a small aluminum fishing boat. If I remember right the winds can kick up quite a bit in late afternoon. Beautiful place! Love it! Plenty of Dorado and other great fish to be had. I can just taste the fish tacos now....ummmm. That will be a great trip. I would love to join if I can swing it and get the OK from the boss. I have a trip already booked for June 22 - 29. Are you thinking early or late June? What were the launching sites like when you were down there? Would I have any problems getting the 23' in? If anybody in interested, I'm thinking about taking my Sage down to Mexico in June to float around for a week or so and would be happy to have some company. I'd go to the midriff area, probably launching either at Bahia De Los Angeles on the Baja Side and island hopping across, or the other way around, launching at Kino Bay. I've done this area several times but not for about 20 or 25 years and really enjoyed it and it's time I did it again before I get too old. No marinas, no gas stops, no nothing, but I always caught enough fish to feed an army. Usually light air but nobody but an idiot would go w/o a storm jib, need good ground tackle, lots of gas, water and sunscreen. A group of 6 or 8 would be perfect. jerry -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter. SPAMfighter has removed 9971 of my spam emails to date.
