Andrei, In the '60s I bought a Grumman 17' canoe with the Old Town sailing rig (mast, gunter sail, two lee boards, rudder) and sailed it many years. Gave it to a daughter, canoe got folded around a big rock, later got a used 13' Grumman "light weight," got my old sail back and gear back, overpowered the 13 footer (ie. sailing was even more fun!) I do some freelance writing, if you'd like an e-mailed copy of one of my yarns about sailing the 13', contact me off line. Canoes are marvelous sailboats, one has never dumped me, have planed one downwind. Did some overnight cruising, but tough trying to sleep aboard! John R.
