Be really, reeeally careful with that heat gun on teak. It works great for stripping varnish, but you'd be surprised (I was!) how quickly you can scorch the wood, and the burn mark is almost impossible to remove. It's way faster than sanding. I stripped all the varnish off my NorSea 27 in two days. It takes a little practice but once you get the rythm you'll have that varnish off in no time. The old varnish will bubble up long before you do any harm to the fiberglass or sealants. I plan on doing both as soon as this mountain of snow melts (Boston area). It looks like previous owner used varnish instead of oil on the teak so I probably have a lot of sanding to do.
