Good to hear that Raven is almost complete, except of course that Faith will now be the ugly step-sister to all these beautiful M23s! I would love to see the latest photos of your refit. Faith is on the hard now for maintenance work. All her bright work needs to be refinished (may not get done this year if the urge to sail overwhelms me before I get that far down my list). The port toe rail is off right now to fix a tiny annoying leak. Her fresh water bottom paint is going to be stripped off and new antifouling suitable for her new home port on the Oregon coast will be applied (along with a fresh barrier coat). Getting her off the trailer is a challenge still ahead, but I'm making slow progress in that direction. It looks like this will be the first year since we acquired Faith that we will not make a trip to the San Juans and points north. A sudden dramatic change in life circumstances came when we weren't quite ready for it (timing is everything they say), so we're limping along for a while with hopes for better times ahead. If an M23 extravaganza comes about next summer we should be ready for it. Keep the photos and inspirational anecdotes coming. I too have gone through "the process". My M23 is just now near completion and I just wanted to say great job to anyone willing to do what you have done. You breeze over the many things you have done, but I doubt most people have any idea how many hours that translates into. Those of us who do take our hats off to you. Oh and by the way Bill, its been a while since I have seen your photo site.....AWSOME. I'll try to shoot a couple pix to you, Sean and who ever might be interested of the completed Raven. You don't have to put them on the site but thought you might like to see them. Lastly all of us need to remember that Bill does this site for no compensation so we must toss a few chips his way as it does cost his time and $$$.
