Hi all, Among the several decisions to make about the design of my new main sail was the question of where to put the two sets of reef points. The first reef cringle on my old main is about 34 inches from the clew and using that same measurement for the new sail, the second one will be added at 68 inches. After making that decision, I am now having second thoughts. Should it be that deep? Should the first be less deep? I have just finished searching the archives and still have no conclusive answers. From those of you who have added a second or had a sail made with two sets of reef points, any wisdom to share? Where should that second reef go? Thanx --George Burmeyer M15 #385 (1986) Santa Rosa, CA
