I built the PVC 4” roller for my M15 on the beach. I glued a cap on one end and a coupling on the other fitted with a screw on cap. That way I can take it off, open up the 4” tube and load it with rocks or sand to make it sink before rolling my boat onto it and then onto the beach. Its 4’ long and I am covering the PVC tube with a thin rubber mat to provide traction and prevent slippage as the boat rolls along. I will not have a chance to test it out until I get to Havasu in January but I think it might work. Oh yea, I am going to pain the rubber cover a bright fluorescent yellow so it can be easily seen under the water as I roll the boat onto it. Gotta be easy for me. Easy peezy!

Doug, I think your PVC roller is a good idea - fill it with rocks tie lanyard at each end cap - cross fingers. 4x4 with carpet - depends on the shore configuration - We will scout the area 1 week before or so and let everyone know. Or anchor - let stern come to shore and use waders or boarding ladder or..... never really tried it with a boat of M-15 size - the rocks here can be sharp (most of them are) - I will bring a rake to clear a spot. I will probably bring my 7-11 and dinghy in from the M-17?

What have you used for beaching a M15? What type of roller or cushion to protect from small rocks in the shallow water when beaching. I see West Marine has a roller but its inflatable and I don’t see that working. Actually theirs is for the beach sand. This one has to sink and stay on the bottom so the boat rolls up over it as it moves towards the shore in shallow water, less than one foot. Thanks. I was wondering about PVC, like 4” PVC but it seems that it would have to be covered in something so the boat would not slide off of it as it rolled forward. Maybe a carpeted 4”x4’ PVC tube would work. Got any ideas.
