When I started this thread some two weeks ago, I had no idea it would be so long legged. It has turned up some great boats and ideas. Anyway after looking at a gazillion inflatables on line I got the building bug after looking at Pygmy kayaks. A kayak wasn't practical in my case and I went on to tenders, prams, etc. Today, I ordered plans for Sam Devlin's "Polliwog", a 7'6" x 4' chined rowing tender. I was sorely tempted by the late Phil Bolger's Ruben's Nymph, the not so beamy regular Nymph and something called an 'Apple Pie'. In the end the Polliwog won out because it looked to row better than the Apple Pie, seemed a bit more stable than the Nymph - and it should look great behind IOTA. All are very small boats, mostly because my shop space really isn't much larger than my M15 as well as the winner needing to go on top of the 6ft bed of my Ranger. Wish me luck...
