All right M-ers, If you all want to brag let me add my $.02 worth. Hard on the wind, on I-95 in North Carolina, my M15 was doing 70 MPH - by GPS observation via the open sun roof of the Jetta wagon; no water in the helmsman's face from bow waves or spray. Totally comfortable. But under more normal operating conditions, with water splashing out of the cockpit drain hole, hard on the wind, I see 4.0 to 4.3 knots in civilized conditions (where the beer can doesn't fall over).
