Hi Cal, Jerry's comments refer to the M17. On the M15, you have to have a knot in the centerboard pennant to keep the board from hitting the edge of the C/B slot. Lower your board all the way - carefully; don't just let it drop - note where the pennant is and then put a knot in the pennant to keep the board's weight on the knot, and not hitting the C/B slot.
